Presentation of the Neurosurgery Division

The Neurosurgery Division is composed of a department for adults and a department for children, as well as a pain treatment centre with a surgical focus.

Over 1,800 patients are treated every year by our 10 neurosurgeons.

The Neurosurgery Division has access to high-performance technical facilities within the Foundation Hospital.

Imaging Department:

  • Scanners: 3 Tesla MRI and 1.5 Tesla MRI, multi-slice CT scanner, interventional bone and joint radiology
  • Neuro-ophthalmological investigations in Dr Vignal-Clermont's department
  • ENT investigations in Dr Ayache's department,

Neurosurgical activities are carried out in three computerised operating theatres dedicated to neurosurgery within the surgical block. The surgical block has three neuronavigation systems, three surgical microscopes, and a robot for epilepsy and Parkinson's disease surgery.

The operating schedule is confirmed twice a week in the Department of Neurosurgery at meetings attended by neurosurgeons, the admissions manager and the surgical block manager.
