Presentation of Otorhinolaryngology (ENT)

The Ear, Nose and Throat and Cervicofacial Surgery Department diagnose and provide medical or surgical treatment for conditions affecting the ears, nose, sinuses, larynx, throat, face, neck and some related regions shared with other specialities (for example, tear duct conditions in collaboration with the Department of Ophthalmology, conditions affecting the base of the skull in collaboration with the Department of Neurosurgery, and neuro-ENT conditions in collaboration with the Department of Neurology).

The ENT Department treats patients of all ages (adults and children).

The Ear, Nose and Throat and Cervicofacial Surgery Department is led by Doctor Denis Ayache (our chief), with the assistance of Doctor Patrick Klap (honorary chief) and Doctor Myriam Cohen (deputy chief). The ENT medical team also includes several part-time ENT doctors and surgeons, who hold consultations and perform surgery within the department on a scheduled basis.

The ENT Department treats practically all ENT conditions thanks to an organisational structure combining general ENT providers with ultra-specialised ENT providers (focusing on ear surgery, sinus surgery, base of skull surgery, ENT oncology, voice disorders, cervicofacial dystonia, deafness, vertigo, tinnitus, snoring, etc.).

The ENT Department boasts comprehensive functional exploration facilities enabling it to assess hearing disorders, tinnitus, vertigo and balance problems, voice disorders, snoring and sleep disorders. To supplement its own functional exploration facilities, the ENT Department collaborates with the Fondation Ophtalmologique Adolphe de Rothschild Hospital's radiology services (including conventional radiology, ultrasonography, CT scanner, MRI, interventional neuroradiology, etc.).
